Check the appearance quality
The appearance of marble slabs of different grades varies. Because marble is naturally formed, defects are inevitable. The quality of both processing equipment and measuring tools is also a cause of defects in the sheet metal. Some boards have incomplete body (warping or indentation), defects (cracks, sand holes, color spots, etc.), and inconsistent board specifications (such as missing edges and corners, uneven board). According to national standards, marble slabs of all grades are allowed to have certain defects, but the superior ones are not so obvious.
Select pattern color tone
Marble slabs are colorful, with diverse colors and patterns, which is precisely the charm of their rarity. The basic consistency of color tone, small color difference, and beautiful pattern are the specific manifestations of excellent varieties, otherwise it will seriously affect the decorative effect.
Detect surface glossiness
The glossiness of the surface of marble slabs can greatly affect the decorative effect. Generally speaking, the polished surface of high-quality marble slabs should have a mirror like luster, which can clearly reflect the scenery. However, due to the different chemical compositions of marble of different qualities, even products of the same grade will have significant differences in glossiness. Of course, there may be some differences in surface glossiness between boards of the same material and different grades. In addition, the strength and water absorption of marble slabs are also important indicators for evaluating the quality of marble.
